The Disk Isn't Moving

If the disk in your Time Timer® product isn't moving, we recommend that you swap in a new battery as a first step to see if that solves the problem.

All physical Time Timers require a battery to operate. For best performance, we recommend the use of high-quality batteries purchased from a reputable retailer. We do not recommend the use of rechargeable batteries as they tend to become depleted far more quickly than traditional batteries.

If you've swapped your battery or batteries and the disk still isn't moving when set, please check the following:

	Battery Specifications: For most of our products, we recommend AA batteries that are 50.5mm in length with a positive terminal height of 1.5mm. Please note that even name-brand batteries may not meet this specification, as our battery compartment supports a standard length range of 49.2mm to 50.5mm.
	How to Test for a Battery Fit Issue: To determine if the issue lies with the battery length rather than the product itself, check that the battery is making proper contact. You can test this by folding a small piece of aluminum foil and placing it between the positive end of the battery and the positive terminal in the compartment.
	Temporary Solution: If this resolves the issue, please be assured that keeping the foil in place will not damage or interfere with the function of your Time Timer. This is a safe, temporary solution until you're able to replace the batteries with ones that meet the recommended size specifications.

Please note: 

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 100ºC/212ºF or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
• Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
• Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
