How to replace the batteries

You'll occasionally need to replace the batteries in your Time Timer® PLUS. If the colored disk has stopped moving you should check the lens cover before replacing the batteries.

To replace the AA batteries, please follow the instructions below: 

 

If Your Model Includes a Screw on the Battery Door

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of your Time Timer PLUS using a small, Phillips head screwdriver.
  2. Insert the AA battery negative side (the flat end) first into the compartment so that it is touching the spring.
  3. Replace the cover to the battery compartment and tighten using the small, Phillips head screwdriver.

If Your Model Does Not Include a Screw on the Battery Door

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of your Time Timer PLUS by gently lifting the door on the back of the timer open.
  2. Insert the AA battery/batteries negative side (the flat end) first into the compartment so that it is touching the spring. *If your Time Timer® PLUS has a pause button, it will require 2 AA batteries.  
  3. Replace the cover to the battery compartment by simply snapping the door closed.

 

  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 100ºC/212ºF or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
  • Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
  • Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
  • Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
